Three things you may not know about Gerry

  • At the age of 9 Gerry was a ‘£10 POM’. The family emigrated to Australia and spent several months living in a large tin hut in Adelaide. The dream was soon over and they returned to England but it has left him with a love of travel.

  • He’s a wizard at growing veg. The large plot at the back of the house keeps the family in fresh veg for most of the year and he can often be found pottering in the polytunnel.

  • He is still waiting to hear the phrase “… and Notts County have won the FA Cup”. He doesn’t expect that wait to be over soon.
